The City Parks Department operates parks throughout the City with facilities that include tennis, volleyball and basketball courts; baseball and soccer fields; playgrounds; a track for walking and running; picnic areas; and a beach front, junior Olympic swimming pool with two diving boards. 

Floresville City Park provides a scenic setting on the San Antonio River that includes two covered pavilions with a kitchen, the perfect place for your special parties.  Leagues, teams, and lessons in various sports offer many options for residents of Floresville.  Visit Pecan Park, a great place for a healthy walk through a thriving pecan orchard complete with playscapes for the kids, picnic tables and benches for all. 

The Old Town Lodi Hike and Bike Trail, 2.9 miles long built on the original San Antonio & Aransas Pass railroad line in Floresville features a great place for hiking, nature study, bird watching and a walk through the historic ghost town—old town Lodi.

Floresville is also home to one of the best dirt bike courses in the world, Cycle Ranch Motocross Park, with 108 acres of red dirt and majestic oak trees, with tracks for all skill levels and exciting racing.  Take Sunnyside Road off US 181.

Swim, fish or boat on nearby Braunig Lake and Calaveras Lake, just minutes away on US 181 north of Floresville….improve your swing at a new challenging golf course in the Avalon Community.

The scenic oak covered sand hills, natural water features, historic and cultural sites coupled with shopping at our new malls and historic downtown provide you plenty to keep you busy in Floresville.
